How the solution works
JSP-Backup™ brings backups for company workstations, servers, virtual machines, websites, and important files into one centrally managed solution. Backup status and storage locations remain visible through one service.
Key benefits
Encrypted backups can be automated to local and external storage targets. Alerts, recovery tests, and documented recovery procedures help ensure that data and systems can be restored after a serious disruption.
Installation and Commissioning
JSP-Backup™ can use UrBackup together with open tools such as Restic or Kopia when appropriate. The solution can be installed in the customer's own server environment or provided as a managed service by JSP-IT Solutions Oy. Onboarding can include an inventory of protected systems, retention periods, encryption, storage targets, monitoring, alerts, a backup server, and recovery exercises.

Name: UrBackup and open backup tools selected for the use case.
Development: UrBackup is an AGPLv3-licensed open-source client/server backup solution for Windows, Linux, and macOS environments. See the source code and licence information on GitHub.
Info: The solution can include file and image backups, encrypted off-site copies, central monitoring, alerts, retention rules, and recovery tests. Final tools are selected according to the protected systems and recovery objectives.
Content of delivery: Delivery includes the agreed server and storage solution, installation, backup policies, monitoring, and separately agreed cloud storage, recovery exercises, and maintenance.
Price: We do not charge for the open-source software, only for storage, server resources, onboarding, monitoring, recovery tests, and maintenance.
Integrations and scope
A successful backup notification alone does not guarantee recoverability, so restores must be tested regularly. The solution complements JSP-InformationSecurity™, JSP-Cloud™, and JSP-DocumentManagement™.
