BookStack is the primary choice for a lightweight, clearly structured knowledge base. Docmost can be selected when real-time collaboration is the priority. Onboarding can include access rights, structure, appearance, authentication, backups, data imports, and training.

Features and technical implementation
Name: BookStack as the primary lightweight option, or Docmost for collaboration-focused use.
Development: BookStack is MIT-licensed open-source software. Its current source repository is hosted on Codeberg. Docmost is an AGPL v3-licensed collaborative wiki, with Enterprise Edition features licensed separately.
Info: BookStack organises information into shelves, books, chapters, and pages and provides search, links, access rights, attachments, and revision history. Docmost adds real-time collaboration, comments, spaces, page history, and search. OIDC/LDAP sign-in and selected enterprise features may require a Docmost Enterprise licence; licensing is confirmed before delivery.
Content of delivery: Delivery includes the agreed server solution, installation, structure, access settings, backups, and separately agreed authentication, data import, and training.
Price: We do not charge for the open-source software, only for server resources, onboarding, content migration, integrations, and maintenance.
Integrations and scope
Formal approvals, mandatory read acknowledgements, and advanced document-control workflows are implemented separately. The knowledge base can complement JSP-Cloud™ and JSP-AI™.
